Eliot Poems

Rereading T.S. Eliot's Selected Poems tonight. I totally dig on The Hollow Men and Ash Wednesday. From the former:

    Between the conception
    And the creation
    Between the emotion
    And the response
    Falls the Shadow

And from the latter:

Blessed sister, holy mother, spirit of the fountain,
    Spirit of the garden,
Suffer us not to mock ourselves with falsehood
Teach us to care and not to care
    Teach us to sit still.

Brilliant, if somewhat obscure, poetry from a 20th century master.
